Competency and Experience
Michael V. Leeman has been a member of the Florida Bar for over 15 years. Prior to founding his own practice, he held the prestigious position of federal prosecutor for more than a decade, successfully prosecuting hundreds of felony cases, including some of this highest profile murder, drug, and fraud cases in Southwest Florida history. His experience as a prosecutor provides him with unique insights into the methods the government will use to prosecute your case, and how to effectively defend against them.
About Michael V. Leeman
Michael V. Leeman is a Southwest Florida native and a member of the Florida Bar for more than fifteen years. He attended the University of Florida for law school, graduating magna cum laude and ranked number 3 out of 349 students in his class. During law school, he served as Articles Editor for the Florida Law Review and as a research assistant to Professor Elizabeth Lear.
For outstanding achievement on the 2010 Florida Bar examination, he was selected by the Florida Board of Bar examiners to grade essay portions of the exam for future applicants.

After law school, Mr. Leeman worked for a large law firm in Tampa before he was appointed by the Attorney General to serve at the United States Department of Justice as a federal prosecutor. For more than a decade, he prosecuted some of the most complex and highest profile cases within the Middle District of Florida (Tampa and Fort Myers Divisions), including multiple capital murder cases, drug conspiracies involving wiretaps, and white collar and tax matters. He left federal service to start his own law office having never lost a trial or a suppression hearing.
